Dear Friend of Diversity:

Each year, in the spring, the Whatcom Human Rights Task Force kicks off its annual membership drive. Your membership dues are critical to the organization's sustainability as we cultivate new projects and activities. As a grassroots group committed to protecting and promoting human rights in Whatcom County our work is vital at this time. Your annual dues form the backbone of our budget.

THE TASK FORCE REQUESTS YOUR HELP TO ACCOMPLISH THE FOLLOWING:

  • Maintain an accessible office space and community outreach activities.
  • Continue to track and document incidents of bias and discrimination in order to assess the climate for human rights in Whatcom County.
  • Continue to support individual experiencing human rights violations, including free legal representation through the Whatcom Civil Rights Project.
  • Increase our educational work, especially through community workshops and new human rights tools for area schools.
  • Continue to encourage activities aimed at supporting young people throughout the county in their wish to create a hate-free world.
Every individual plays an integral part in our success. Please become a member or renew your membership to Whatcom Human Right Task Force. Together, we form a powerful and effective partnership for human rights in Whatcom County.

Thank you,

Lisa Fox, WHRTF Chair
