Identifying internalized oppression
Internalized oppression is the in-fighting or intra-group conflicts
that replicate the mistreatment group members originally experienced
from outsiders. Building cooperative relationships across group
lines requires reducing internalized oppression within each group.
Groups cannot join inter-group coalition- building efforts when
they are divided or weakened by internal divisions.

our community to take in groundbreaking documentary and fiction
films, and share in a lively discussion. Films in this series address
racism and television, African-American history, the theft and appropriation
of Native American culture, as well as other important topics relevant

our desire to explore the interconnections among different forms
