Monthly Film Series
October
25th - Thursday, 7-9 pm
Film: 'HATRED', a film by Mitzi Goldman
"Hatred"
takes a deeper look at an all-too-common emotion. A variety of
thinkers, artists, medical workers, and human rights activists
look at Hatred and its presence in our world. Where does it come
from? What does it accomplish? Is it inevitable, or created? This
film takes on a common term, and takes a deeper look at how it
works..and how it doesn't.
THE FILM IS FOLLOWED BY DISCUSSION
Whatcom
Human Rights Task Force presents "Hatred" as part of
our monthly film and discussion series, Joining Worlds.
This is an opportunity for our community to take in groundbreaking
documentary and fiction films, and share in a lively discussion.
Films in this series address racism and television, African-American
history, the theft and appropriation of Native American culture,
as well as other important topics relevant to this region.
The
theme, Joining Worlds, directly addresses our desire to
explore the interconnections among different forms of oppression,
and recognize our places in history.
